Pay by Credit Card in Tanzania

Question

I am wondering whether it is safe to pay credit card to a hotel in Tanzania. I have booked a beach hotel for our stay at Zanzibar. They are asking me to pay 25% of total expense now by credit card. I am wondering how safe it is. I don’t want to see suspicious transaction later on… Thanks!

    No more unsafe than a cc transaction anywhere. It’s unlikely the charge will be other than what has been agreed to! You’re lucky they’re even accepting cc as payment; most outfitters want payment via wire transfer.
