If you’re traveling from mainland Tanzania, you can take a ferry from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar, which takes approximately 2 hours. Some people use Daladala of Uroa because it is a cheap option, but be prepared for an uncomfortable ride, especially if you’re prone to motion sickness.
